Jewelry Designer Network

Welcome to the Jewelry Designer Network ... JewelryNetwork.org

TaoGem

MySpace, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter for gemstone and jewelry design business networking

Have been building upon Ning and the above networks for the purpose of building upon gemstones and jewelry design business contacts.

Not having any luck with groups from within any of these networks. Tons of members in many groups, but almost zero discussions.

Thought might just post links to my profiles here in an effort to add more contacts to each.

Maybe others here would like to add theirs as well. Social networking is proving to be an excellent method of building an even stronger presence online. These are all free and in a time when my ability to spend any money at all in marketing/promotions, these are a nice way to at least continue investing positive energy into our businesses.

Some of these networks have excellent business related applications that really help staying organized. Keeping up with who is doing what and easily contacting and responding to various activities.

LinkedIn
MySpace
Facebook
Twitter

Will add anyone interested to my friends lists, and of course will do the same in return.

I will touch on your question..

Appeal to and from peers comes naturally.. No need to worry about appealing to each other. The nature of common interests is what makes that connection a positive one.

I don't even worry about potential customers following me at all.. Again the nature of the Twitter beast. Let the buyer do their niche/product searches.. They will follow with out the need to look or follow them..

Same with all other networks.. Again, my primary interest is online business networking within relevant niche business. Designers looking for products will search those networks in the same way.. They will find ya and if what we have is of interest they will initiate a contact and the relationship is off to a start !

It can be difficult to prioritize the networks.. I try to utilize the various applications available within each that I think someone may stumble upon when searching that network. Blogs within a network are very hot.

Very true without question in regards to utilizing and separating a knowledge base site/group/network from a selling venue.. A selling venue is what it is.. ;

Thanks for the positive reply ManicButterfly.. I see ya at many of the same places I have started hanging out..

Really enjoy this Ning network.. Have met several fellow lapidaries here.. Much fun !

I have been joining every kind of network that I can to gain exposure to my Etsy jewelry shop, hoping that I can at least get a few contacts and build relationships through it, in addition to future clients :)

Twitter is my third best traffic flow to my Etsy sight according to google analytics, I post on twitter a few times throughout the day and it brings em in!! Myspace also brings in traffic for me but mostly just other vendors. On twitter add me by searching shellisxena on myspace I am www.myspace.com/shellisxena and on Etsy I am under seller name shellisxena.

Hope this helps shelley - shell's Jewel's.

PS still excited about my jewelry coming out in the next issue of MF Magazine!! www.mfmagazine.com issue 10!!
