Hi. I'm new to this group and want to say hello.
This group is for anyone who is interested in forming metals into interesting shapes. The shapes are generally created by using hand tools and traditional jewelry techniques.

- I work full time at Bank of America as a desktop publisher. I like making jewelry, reading, long walks, and spending time with friends. I also try to keep in touch with my jewelry friends through the forums I'm active on and through email.
- How many years have you been designing jewelry?
- I've been designing and making jewelry for the last five years. I saw an online tutorial featuring a beautiful bead and wire bracelet made by Connie Fox. I printed out the tutorial, bought some copper wire and beads and made my first bracelet. I was hooked and started teaching myself different techniques, including wire wrapping, chain maille and fusing fine silver wire.

- My favorite jewelry stores usually feature handmade jewelry.
- Did you go to school to learn jewelry design?
- I've taken a couple of classes in the past, but I'm mostly self taught.
- Do you have a favorite jewelry designer (other then yourself...)
- I would have to say Connie Fox. She is a wonderful designer, who makes beautiful, unusual and elegant jewelry. Her website is full of helpful information, and her tools and materials are very reasonably priced.
