About Me
Vince Crison -
Jeweler/ Jewelry Designer (My specialty is Black Coral Jewelry):

I learned most of my trade from the goldsmiths in Thailand and have been designing and making jewerly for over 30-years.

I enjoy designing and then creating those designs. I started this trade as a hobby many years ago while in high school and gradually learned the many different skills for cutting stones and fabricating jewerly both in gold and sterling silver.

I learned about black coral during my diving experiences in Saudi Arabia where I worked for 10 years from 1975 to 1985. While diving in the Red Sea my son and I discovered the black coral at depths of 75 to 100 feet below the surface. From 1975 to 1978, we harvested the coral along with other diving friends and eventually I learned how to cure the coral and prepare it for making jewelry. The rest is history along with many hours of practice and hands on work. As I have said, I have been doing jewelry work for over 30-years and it has always been my passion to create and fabricate the designs that I have created over the years. The simple designs usually turn out to be very pleasing to the eye, but always, each and every design is a pleasant surprise when it is finished. I hope everyone enjoys their work as much as I do. Have a great day! Vince
How many years have you been designing jewelry?
Over 30-years. Started in 1975.
What is your favorite jewelry website?
http://www.vinces-jewelry-gallery.com
What is your favorite jewelry store?
Passman Galleries.
Did you go to school to learn jewelry design?
No, all my designs are by trial and error over many years of sketching and then creating the sketched item. Some turn out great and some are scrapped.
Do you have a favorite jewelry designer (other then yourself...)
Bernard Passman (now deceased), who worked with black coral as I do.
